Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Apply evidence-based approaches to the assessment, diagnosis, and management of common musculoskeletal conditions encountered across primary care, urgent care, and orthopedic settings, including running injuries, rotator cuff disease, low back pain, stress fractures, and foot, ankle, and finger injuries.
  2. Improve interdisciplinary communication and care coordination among primary care, urgent care, and orthopedic providers by utilizing shared clinical language, aligning treatment strategies, and facilitating appropriate referrals and follow-up care.
  3. Integrate patient-centered and ethical decision-making principles into clinical practice by recognizing factors that influence treatment recommendations, including surgical candidacy, diabetes management, effective patient communication, and the ethical management of industry relationships.
