Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify key sonographic markers of congenital heart disease and associated genetic syndromes, including findings that may indicate the presence of complex cardiac and extracardiac anomalies during prenatal screening.
  2. Apply advanced fetal cardiac imaging techniques to accurately evaluate and differentiate congenital heart defects, including outflow tract lesions such as double outlet right ventricle (DORV), transposition of the great arteries, and truncus arteriosus.
  3. Integrate fetal imaging, pathology, and clinical outcome data to improve diagnostic accuracy, inform patient counseling, and support appropriate prenatal and postnatal management of fetuses with congenital heart disease.

The University of Utah School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
