Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe key principles of enterprise imaging, including visible-light image management, storage, evaluation, and the emerging role of machine learning across clinical specialties.
  2. Identify strategies to enhance cross-disciplinary collaboration and leverage informatics tools/applications that improve process efficiency, image-access security, and patient-care workflows.
  3. Apply foundational and emerging concepts in digital pathology—including AI, data security, analytics, imaging standards, and device connectivity—to support efficient, secure, and enterprise-wide operational workflows.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of   University of Utah School of Medicine and SIIM - Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine. The University of Utah School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
